NVIDIA GeForce2 Series Driver Update

GeForce2 is the second generation of the GeForce brand of video cards by nVidia. This series, now considered to be legacy, came out in three categorical releases based on feature and price range. These were MX, GTS, and Ultra. GeForce2 GTS and Ultra were respectively the mid-range and high-end models while GeForce2 MX was for the entry-level low-end market. This WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) certified driver update is made for the following models: MX, MX 100, MX 100/200, MX 200, and MX 400.

The update is version 93.71 and was released in April 28, 2011. This is actually the last update for this particular GeForce video card series. It includes among other upgrade features support for the H.264 or MPEG-4, MPEG-2 HD, and VC-1 video codecs. Additionally, this final update provides the Control Panel, a utility software that allows users to perform more finely tuned adjustments of the video card’s advanced settings and properties. Operating system compatibility requirements are Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
