NVIDIA GeForce 6200 Series Driver Update
The GeForce 6200 series is part of the sixth generation family of video cards from nVidia. This graphics hardware manufacturer usually diversifies every generation of its video cards into low, mid and high range models. The 6200 series is one of several lines that belong in the budget category. As such 6200 video cards have only 4 pixel pipelines, have no memory compression, and don’t support Scalable Link Interface, a feature that allows two video cards to be used in tandem and is a capability found in higher sixth generation GeForce models.
To make video card driver updating more convenient for users, nVidia releases its updates in the form of driver packages where each package already covers a range of models in a series. This particular update belongs to the batch labeled Release 270 that was brought out for distribution in April 28, 2011. This covers versions 270 to 274 and is WHQL Certified. All sixth generation GeForce video card models, including those of the 6200 series, can use this update. It is compatible with systems running on Windows 98, ME, 2000, 2003, Windows NT, XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
