Driver Errors in Windows XP

April 13th, 2009 No comments

Most computers have Windows XP for their platform. This operating system is regarded as the most stable and user-friendly in the market. However, Windows XP users do encounter errors with their system if their hardware drivers have gone corrupted or accidentally removed.

Drivers malfunction can damage your system. It is possible for your computer to crash while you’re in the middle of an application if the drivers become corrupt. Driver errors can also show up during start-up, causing your computer to fail booting altogether. Errors like these can paralyze your entire system.

The best solution for errors caused by drivers in Windows XP to update your drivers.Visit the support section of your manufacturer’s website to find current drivers for your device.

Sometimes you can just unistall the driver and reinstall the same driver version using the CD that came with your computer. This refreshes the files present on your computer and will overwrite everything else that may have become corrupt. The drivers have to be uninstalled first before they are reinstalled. All files (including the device itself) have to be removed from your system. If you just try to run the CD on top of the existing driver, Windows would just detect the drivers to be similar, telling you that there is no need to upgrade. Use the add/remove hardware section to remove the files first. (This technique is only advisable if there’s no valid driver update from your computer manufacturer’s site or from the website of the makers of the hardware itself.)

HP Printer not working? Drivers missing? Software update needed?

To update your HP Printer drivers or software, follow these easy steps:

Click Here to go to HP’s driver update page. Follow the steps to identify your printer.

driver-screen-1

Select your operating system

driver-screen-2

Now you will see a list of drivers available for download. Also, if there are software updates you can download them from this page as well.

driver-screen-3

By clicking on one of the links, you are redirected to a webpage that explains (in most of the cases) what the software products is designed to do. That page contains the actual download link.

driver-screen-4

By clicking on the download link, a download window appears. Then choose a location where to save the file to. (I suggest creating a separate folder, name it after your printer and burn it on a CD later (it will save you from repeating this process whenever you format your hard drive or install a new version of Windows). After you have saved the file, go to that location, and double click it. It will bring up a warning window and you choose to run or cancel it. (Since we know it is downloaded from the manufacturer’s official website, it does not contain any viruses, spyware, or adware.) Click Run: and follow the prompts.

Ergo Romanian Driver Update

April 2nd, 2009 No comments

The Ergo Romanian is a small software application from Anasoftware that configures and installs the optimal layout of the keyboard customized exclusively for the Romanian language. The layout is instantly available from the language indicator of the taskbar. This application can function on any QWERTY keyboard with standard quality.

Ergo Romanian’s resulting layout provides fluent typing and requires no training at all with no keyboard labeling. Non-Romanian letters Q, W, Y, K are moved to the AltGr shift state to make way for the diacritic letters of Romania, taking advantage of the fact that each alphabet which is non-Romanian is placed in the immediate proximity of diacritic letters’ base letter. The QWERTY dynamics are preserved only by this layout. This version has ER1 and ER2 optimized layout variants, respectively.

This latest update of Ergo Romanian 2.1 version was added April 2, 2009 and was released on the 3rd of the same month and year. This application works on Windows Server 2008, Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 2000.

Ergo Romanian is a keyboard driver that cost nothing to download so you can use it right away and for as long as you want to. You can download your updated Ergo Romanianhere to start using its features and experience its benefits today.
